He is the author of several novels, and has most recently authored a cocktail book for whiskey lovers titled Hacking Whiskey: Smoking, Blending, Fat Washing, and Other Whiskey Experiments (Dovetail Press, 2018). He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Betsy; daughter, Ellie; Maine Coon cat, Hops; and around 1000 bottles of whiskey, give or take.
