3rd Annual Caribbean Rum & Beer Festival in Grenada
www.rumandbeerfestival.com3rd Caribbean Rum & Beer Festival - November 2-3, 2012 - Grenada
The organizers of the 3rd Caribbean Rum & Beer Festival set out to gather the best regional rum, beer and cuisine for a two day sensory extravaganza. The exhibitors, attendees and people of Grenada accepted the challenge and set their best foot forward, rewarding all involved with a very memorable experience.
The event took place at the Grand Anse Culture Centre and, upon arrival at the parking lot, attendees were presented with tents offering authentic and decadent Grenadian food, tantalizing music and refreshingly-cold beers (one brand was even aged in rum barrels!). Once inside the Culture Centre, lucky guests turned into proverbial children in a candy store. Each booth tried to out-do its neighbor, all of them willing to share their passion for their craft, their pride in their brand and, of course, the end goal of their arduous labor.
A country is nothing more than the collective experience of its residents and visitors, just like a memory is the collective recollection of sensor y inputs. Our memories of Grenada are all extraordinarily pleasant. We left the Spice Island with the heavy hear t of the lover who temporarily has to leave a partner behind, but with an undeniable reassurance that the separation will only be temporary.
