TIME TO WARM UP!
As I sit here watching the snow fall outside of my living room window, it seems appropriate to write about WARM rum cocktails. I think most people associate rum cocktails with tropical juices and big elaborate Tiki garnishes, but my most loved rum cocktails are the winter ones. Rum naturally works well with traditional winter baking spices because of its own flavor profile.....nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, allspice...... so pairing it with cold weather drinks to me is the perfect combination. I have included two very easy to make drinks and one that is a bit tricky, but certainly something that anyone can make. The first recipe is my all-time favorite, the Hot Buttered Rum. Now you may wonder, is she really putting BUTTER in a drink?? The answer is yes, and trust me you will love it.
